We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead with a strong focus on managing open items during migration projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP data management, reconciliation, and cutover strategies, ensuring seamless transition and data integrity across complex systems. This role demands leadership in coordinating migration teams, defining data governance standards, and executing end-to-end data validation.
Lead and oversee the data migration lifecycle for open items, including planning, design, extraction, transformation, loading, and reconciliation.
Collaborate with business and functional teams to define migration scope, mapping logic, and validation criteria.
Develop and implement data migration strategies and cutover plans.
Ensure data accuracy and completeness across multiple SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, etc.).
Manage data cleansing, enrichment, and validation activities.
Coordinate with technical teams for data extraction, conversion scripts, and load execution.
Resolve migration-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure on-time delivery.
Document migration procedures, track data quality metrics, and provide periodic status reports.
12–20 years of overall experience, with proven expertise in SAP data migration projects.
Strong understanding of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments.
Experience with open items migration in FI, AP, AR, and GL modules.
Proficiency in data migration tools and methodologies (LSMW, BODS, SAP Data Services, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a remote setup.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
