SAP FI/CO Functional Lead

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO Functional Lead to join our team on a 6-month remote contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial and controlling modules within SAP, with extensive experience in solution design, configuration, integration, and end-user support. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of managing complex financial processes, driving continuous improvements, and collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation and enhancement of SAP FI/CO modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Profit Center Accounting.

  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and translate them into effective SAP configurations.

  • Manage integration points between FI/CO and other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, HR, etc.).

  • Oversee system upgrades, enhancements, and data migrations.

  • Perform impact analysis, test case preparation, and UAT coordination.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues, provide root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.

  • Guide and mentor junior consultants and ensure project deliverables are met within timelines.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes and financial reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational financial standards and internal controls.


Requirements

  • Experience: 12–20 years of experience in SAP FI/CO module implementation and support.

  • Proven experience in leading large-scale SAP implementation or rollout projects.

  • Strong functional knowledge of financial and controlling processes.

  • Ability to map business requirements to system functionalities effectively.

  • Hands-on configuration experience in FI/CO, including integration with other modules.

  • Excellent communication and client interaction skills.

  • Experience with S/4HANA Finance preferred.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup and manage multiple priorities.
